MADAME VERSAILLES,CORAL AMONGST THE LOCALS AND THE OLD PRAGA

 

 

The Old Praga- the distric of Warsaw that many people do not want to go, many do not like it, many do not even know it. To me- the district of so much history looking out of each of the window, Catholic shrines in backyards, so many contrasts, so much hidden beauty in the yards forgotten by people and God- one could say. District of buildings built at the begining of XXth century and unlike the western parts of Warsaw, Praga remained relatively untouched during War War II.

And since then- in some parts- it has not changed much, some so neglected that it is not wise to go there. The group of tenement houses that I visited in my coral, frilled dress, wearing CORAL PUFF headband, vintage snake- skin bag and high heels, was in such a state that people should not live there and my being there was like "out of this world" and completely not "proper"

but that is how I wanted it to be.

I love contrasts, I love murals. I love vintage. I love everything that is full of character

and has SOMETHING inside.

 

 

Stara Praga- dzielnica Warszawy, do której wielu ludzi nie wybiera się wcale, wielu jej nie lubi, wielu nawet jej nie zna. Dla mnie Praga to dzielnica, gdzie historia wygląda z każdego okna, krzaczka i każdego podwórka. Dzielnica pięknych niegdyś kamienic, ukrytych w podwórkach kapliczek, miejsc zapomnianych przez Boga i ludzi. Dzielnica budynków powstałych na początku XX wieku, i w przeciwieństwie do zachodniej części Warszawy, podczas II Wojny Światowej nie zniszczonych prawie wcale. A dzisiaj.... Niektóre jej części nie zmieniły się na pewno nic a nic.

Niektóre podupadły tak, że strach się tam zapuszczać. W kamienicy, do której wpadłam w mojej koralowej, falbaniastej sukience i fascynatorze "CORAL PUFF", z torebeczką vintage i na szpileczkach, wyglądałam zdecydowanie "nie z tej ziemi" i bardzo nie na miejscu :-)

Ale o to właśnie chodziło. O ten kontrast. O te murale na ścianach.

O te obdrapane tynki, charakter i tą inność, którą ja uwielbiam we wszystkim.

To się nazywa RADOŚĆ- lokalny Pan z Pragi nie chciał puścić mnie bez uwiecznienia na zdjęciu.
I mam tych zdjęć kilka- robione gdy tylko mijałam go w tą lub inna stronę

 

The idea of this photo session was to show a few outfits that can be combined with
one hat. The black one- MADAME VERSAILLES.
As I am going to an Ukrainian wedding, I have to look professional ;-)
Therefore I created CORAL PUFF- the headband made of silk magnolias and fabric matching my dress. I am used to wearing "big" things on my head. To those ladies, who are not and who do not like to "show off" too much, something less eye- catching can be created in LALLU CHIC atelier
of course, but I always say that "if you want to be noticed, let it be smashing"! Have fun Ladies! Shine! Smile! We all have just one life! And a part of it is being happy! Remember that!

Ideą tej sesji zdjęciowej było pokazanie kilku stylizacji, które wyglądają super z jednym toczkiem.
Tym pięknym czarnym MADAME VERSAILLES.
Jako, że jestem zaproszona na ślub na Ukrainie, wyglądać muszę profesjonalnie :-)
Na wesele stworzyłam zatem piękną opaskę CORAL PUFF- jedwabne magnolie i materiał pasujący do sukienki. Ja jestem przyzwyczajona do noszenia na głowie rzeczy dużych.
Dla tych Pań, które nie są i nie lubią się zbytnio wyróżniać, w atelier LALLU CHIC można stworzyć coś mniej rzucającego się w oczy, coś spokojniejszego, delikatniejszego. Ale ja zawsze powtarzam wszystkim- "jeśli chcesz, by Cię zauważono, niech to będzie powalające!" Bawcie się Kobiety!
Lśnijcie! Uśmiechajcie się! Wszyscy mamy jedno życie! A częścią tego życia jest radość! Pamiętajcie o tym!

The shrine as it was built, it lasts. The Mother Mary with her gentle smile looks after the tennants.
The builing here full of life, in the other corner the windows closed with boards.
Each of the doors marked with the sign :" Danger! The risk of collapse!".
Outside people sitting on the old benches. The inhabitants. They do not like visitors.
Especially such "Ladies" running here and back in "their" backyard.
But there is one UNIVERSAL "something" that opens one people to others- SMILE!
And thanks to this SMILE we were let into the world of Stalowa street.
Mr. Local- I did not even have a chance to ask his name- was in heaven with the fact that he could take a photo with me. It was loud, funny, nice- simply speaking:-)

 

Kapliczka stoi jak stała, Matka Boska spokojna, kamienica tu zamieszkana,
tam okna zabite deskami, na każdych drzwiach wejściowych tabliczka:
"NIEBEZPIECZEŃSTWO! BUDYNEK GROZI ZAWALENIEM!"
Na zewnątrz mieszkańcy. Nie lubią "zwiedzających". A już na pewno nie Pańci biegającej
po "ich" domu. Ale jest jedno uniwersalne COŚ, co otwiera  ludzi na drugich ludzi- uśmiech!
I tak właśnie zostaliśmy wpuszczeni do świata ulicy Stalowej.
Pan Lokalny- z tego wszystkiego nie zapytałam jak ma na imię- był zachwycony faktem,
że może zrobić sobie ze mną zdjęcie. Wesoło, głośno, tak po ludzku FAJNIE.

 MADAME VERSAILLES is the second hat I am going to wear in the church.
Absolutely beautiful, black (!) pillbox with lacquered elements reminding me the architecture
of Versailles. My beloved delicate veiling and voilà! The character of the whole outfit changes.
It is a bit more dignified, isn't it?
As you know- I do not like black. Sometimes nothing else matches unfortunately :-)
But if it is the addition" to the COLOUR- it is this "icing on the cake".

 

MADAME VERSAILLES- jest drugą propozycją, którą zamierzam ubrać do cerkwi na zaślubiny.
Przepiękny, czarny (!) toczek, z lakierowanymi elementami nawiązującymi do architektury Wersalu.
Moja ukochana, delikatna woalka i voilà! Zmienia się charakter całej stylizacji.
Jest chyba trochę dostojniej, prawda?
Jak wiecie- czarnego koloru nie lubię. Czasem jednak nic innego po prostu nie pasuje.
Czarny jako dodatek do koloru jest po prostu "wisienką na torcie".

And so my coral dress and two headpieces were shown to the world of Old Praga.
There are three other outfits that go perfectly well with MADAME VERSAILLES.
Outfits different that WEDDING GUEST occasion. But today it would be too much :-)
You have to wait a while.
I would like to place a special BIG thank you to Adam- my photographer- who in 30 degrees
Celsius agreed to take this photos.
He is a very calm man. I am quite the opposite.
I did feel sorry for him sometimes as he had to run after me but I think that the results
are fantastic so I hope he forgives me this very soon! Thank you Adam!

 

I tak moja koralowa sukienka z dwoma nakryciami głowy została zaprezentowana światu Starej Pragi.
Mam jeszcze trzy stylizacje, które wyglądają super z toczkiem MADAME VERSAILLES.
Stylizacje na wydarzenia inne niż wesele. Ale pokazanie ich dzisiaj byłoby już przesadą :-)
Musicie chwilkę poczekać.
Chciałabym zostawić tu specjalne podziękowania dla Adama- mojego fotografa,
który w 30-o stopniowym upale zgodził się robić te zdjęcia.
Jest to niezwykle spokojny człowiek. Ja wręcz przeciwnie.
Chwilami szkoda mi go bardzo było, że tak musi biegać za mną ale sądzę, że rezultaty
są fantastyczne i że wkrótce zostanie mi to zapomniane :-)
