LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

Tworzenie kapelusza jest fascynującym procesem.
Oglądanie rezultatów własnych wizji, przemyśleń i oczekiwań
jest kolejnym momentem pewnego rodzaju szczęścia.
Ale najpiękniejszym, najbardziej ekscytującym i naprawdę wzruszającym doświadczeniem jest chwila spojrzenia
w oczy kobiecie, która spoglądając w lustro widzi
swą twarz "ozłoconą" wymarzonym kapeluszem.


Creating a hat is a fascinating process.
Seeing the result of your visions, thoughts and expectations
is another moment of some sort of happiness.
But the sweetest, most thrilling and really touching experience
is the moment of looking in the eyes of a happy woman
who looks in the mirror and sees her own face
being framed by a dream hat.

W zeszłym tygodniu miałam spotkanie z moja nową Klientką.
Pani Monika zapragnęła mieć czarny berecik.
Chcąc zaprezentować jakość wykonania moich kapeluszy, jakość materiałów, zdecydowałam się zabrać mój prześliczny czerwony kapelusik typu cloche oraz cloche w kolorze zjawiskowego fioletu.
Obydwa wykończone są jedwabną wstążką w sposób jaki wykańcza kapelusze moja mentorka Anya Caliendo.
To wykończenie naprawdę sprawia,
że kapelusz wygląda zjawiskowo.
Kiedy dotykasz filcu z włosia królika po raz pierwszy,
od razu czujesz, że nie ma drugiego tak delikatnego,
mięciutkiego i cieplutkiego jak ten.
Uwielbiam pracować z tym filcem.
A kolory w jakich jest produkowany są po prostu bajeczne!
I tak Pani Monika, która marzyła o czarnym bereciku,
gdy zobaczyła fioletową piękność błyszczącą na stole tuż przed nią, po prostu wzięła kapelusik, ubrała i to był ten moment!
Błysk w oku, głowa w prawo, głowa w lewo,
oczy się śmieją, twarz nabiera blasku.
Szczęśliwa kobieta!
I ja, siedząca z tyłu.
Patrząca w lustro i obserwująca mili sekundy czegoś,
co tak naprawdę jest trudne do opisania. Bo to trwa tak króciutko.
Ale dla projektanta to jest moment niesamowitego szczęścia.
Moment dumy.
Moment tej pewności, że zawód modystki,
który wybrałam jest tym, który chcę wykonywać.
Moment pożegnania z kolejnym z moich kapeluszy,
któremu dałam swego rodzaju miłość,
pasję i wszelkie umiejętności jakie zdobyłam, by powstał,
aby uczynić pewną Panią absolutnie szczęśliwą.
To był moment, który był dla mnie naprawdę niezwykły.
Zobaczyłam na oczy moment zakochiwania się:-)
Kontakt z Klientką przez internet nigdy nie ma tej magii.

 

 

Last week I had an appointment with my new client.
Monique wanted to have a black beret.
As I wanted to present the quality of my hats, the quality
of materials- I decided to take my gorgeous red fur felt cloche
and stunning purple felt cloche.
Both ot them are trimmed with with silk ribbon with
Anya Caliendo's signature method and this makes
the hats look so exclusive.
When you touch fur felt for the first time- you know
that nothing else is as soft and warm and gentle as this fabric.
I just love working with it.
And the colors of the felt are simply amazing.
So Monique- who dreamt about black,
when saw the purple beauty glowing on the table
right in front of her just took it,
put it on her head and that was the moment.
Sparkle in the eye, head left, head right, eyes smiling,
face smiling. Happy woman!
And me, sitting at the back of it. Looking in this mirror
and watching these mili seconds of something
what is really difficult to describe. As it last so short.
But for the designer it's the moment of extreme happiness.
Moment of pride.
Moment of being sure that the profession of millinery
that was chosen is the only one that I want to do.
Moment of saying good bye to another one of my pieces.
The hat to which my passion, love and 
all my millinery abilities were given.
To make another woman absolutely happy.
That was the moment that was so very precious to me,
as I saw the moment of falling in love for the firts time in my life.
Contact with the Client via internet never has such magic.

MIŁOŚĆ OD PIERWSZEGO WEJRZENIA
Bo przecież każdy kapelusz musi mieć imię, nieprawdaż?

And on the way back home purple beauty was given the name:
LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.
Every hat needs to have a name, doesn't it?

 

A dzisiaj, kiedy myślałam o tym uczuciu miłości od pierwszego ujrzenia kapeluszy, torebeczek i butów, "usłyszałam wołanie"
ze strony Irregular Choice. (www.irregularchoice.com)
Mojej uwielbianej, nieprawdopodobnej marki butów.
Weszłam tam tylko na chwilkę, by rzucić okiem co nowego.
I cóż? Zakochałam się znowu i znowu i znowu i znowu!
Nie raz! Nie dwa! Wiele razy!!!
Ale te iskierki w moich oczach na widok bucików
nie były widziane przez dizajnera marki Dana Sullivana.
A sądzę, że były szczęśliwy widząc je.



And today, while I was thinking about this
LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT feeling towards hats and bags and shoes,
I 'heard' call from Irregular Choice site.
My favourite, beloved brand of shoes.
And you know what? I just popped in to see what's new.
And again and again and again I fell in love, too!!!
Not once! Not twice! MANY TIMES!
But these sparkles in my eyes were not seen by the designer-
Dan Sullivan. And I think he would be happy to see them, too.
