Yes. July is one of the most beautiful months of the year.
At least for me...
The sun is shining all day long, flowers are blooming,
fruits and vegetables grow like crazy.
And people are smiling more. That is my opinion:-)
My new atelier on Saska Kępa in Warsaw was opened.
The first day said hello to me with the unbelivably marvelous
scent of lime trees blooming. The whole street is filled with limes. To me- priceless feeling.
So I started my new life in Warsaw.
And it immediately started with both work and fun.
Last Sunday I had the opportunity to present three
of my hats on GALA DERBY SŁUŻEWIEC 2014
in the MOST BEAUTIFUL HAT Contest.
Tak. Lipiec jest jednym z najpiękniejszych miesięcy roku. Przynajmniej dla mnie...
Słońce świeci od rana do późnego wieczora.
Dzień jest długi, kwiaty kwitną, owoce i warzywka rosną obłędnie.
I ludzie uśmiechają się jakby więcej. Takie moje zdanie:-)
Me nowe atelier na Saskiej Kępie w Warszawie zostało otwarte. Pierwszy dzień powitał mnie nieopisanie cudownym zapachem kwitnących lip, których na Saskiej jest mnóstwo.
Bezcenne doświadczenie ten zapach!
I tak rozpoczęłam swe nowe życie w Warszawie.
I natychmiast wpadłam w wir tak pracy jak i zabawy.
W zeszłą niedzielę miałam okazję zaprezentować trzy moje kapelusze z najnowszej kolekcji SERENDIPITY
na GALA DERBY SŁUŻEWIEC 2014
w konkursie na najpiękniejszy kapelusz!
As I mentioned it many times before- Poland is not a country
where hats are worn.
It changes slowly for better but the change will take much time.
There are however events like GALA DERBY SLUŻEWIEC where Polish ladies started
the tradition of presenting their hats.
They even call it POLISH ASCOT ;-)
A long way ahead to have at least a tiny little bit of Ascot hats
here, but it is better something than nothing.
When
me and my friends entered the DERBY in LALLU CHIC HATS- mini top hats-
DOLCE MELA and PURE MADNESS
and boater RENDEZ- VOUS- people could not go
by without looking:-)As the hats are real show- stoppers- they did,
what they were supposed to do- they draw attention.
They started to be the DREAM hats.
The speckle of jealousy was in the eye of some women.
But it was supposed to be like that.
What I wanted to achieve was not the prize in the contest-
however it was very nice to get it !
All
three of the hats were awarded.
DOLCE MELA got the FISRT PRIZE!!!
I just wanted to show the Ladies and
many of the celebrities that HAT MUST BE BEAUTIFUL! HAT MUST BE BRAVE!
HAT MUST BE THE SHOW STOPPER!
And it must be perfectly made.
I do
hope that next year the level of the competition will be
much much
higher. I hope that the hats presented will be
not just sinamay, horse hair and ugly feather creatures.
I hope that Polish women will finally understand that the hat is
THE FIRST AND THE MOST IMPORTANT ACCESSORY OF THE WHOLE OUTFIT.
What will happen- will tell you next year.

Zmienia się to powoli na lepsze ale zajmie to jeszcze soro czasu.
Na szczęście są takie wydarzenia jak
GALA DERBY SŁUŻEWIEC,
gdzie Polki postanowiły prezentować swoje kapelusze.
Niektórzy nawet nazywaja to wydarzenie 'Polskim Ascot ':-)
Długa droga przed nami by osiągnąć choć odrobinkę tego,
co jest prezentowane w Ascot, ale jak to mówią- lepiej coś, niż nic.
Kiedy ja i moje przyjaciółki wkroczyłyśmy na DERBY w kapeluszach LALLU CHIC- cylinderki DOLCE MELA
i PURE MADNESS oraz boater RENDEZ-VOUS-
ludzie nie mogli przejść obok i nie spojrzeć :-)
Jako, że te kapelusze naprawdę zwracają uwagę- wykonały swe zadanie perfekcyjnie! Zaczęły być MARZENIEM wielu kobiet. Błysk zazdrości pojawił się w oku tej czy innej Pani,
ale to całkowicie zdrowy objaw.
Wszystkie trzy kapelusze zostały nagrodzone.
Chciałam pokazać Paniom i wielu celebrytkom, że
KAPELUSZ MUSI BYC PIĘKNY!
KAPELUSZ MUSI BYC ODWAŻNY!
KAPELUSZ MUSI ZWRACAĆ UWAGĘ!
I MUSI BYĆ PERFEKCYJNIE WYKONANY!
Mam nadzieję, że w przyszłym roku poziom konkurencji będzie
o wiele, wiele wyższy. Mam też nadzieję, ze kapelusze prezentowane na DERBY i w Gałkowie nie będą wykonane
z sinamay, krynoliny i paskudnych piórek.
Mam nadzieję, że Polki zrozumieją, że KAPELUSZ JEST PIERWSZYM I NAJWAŻNIEJSZYM DODATKIEM DO CAŁEGO STROJU!
Co będzie, zobaczymy w przyszłym roku.

Our great Polish designer- Łukasz Jemioł- could not resist
and talk to us about LALLU CHIC HATS.
If
he noticed them and said that they immediately drew his attention and
described them as extremely beautiful
and perfectly designed- it means a
lot.
I jeszcze jedna rzecz ucieszyła mnie bardzo.
Nasz wzięty projektant- Łukasz Jemioł- nie mógł odmówić sobie rozmowy z nami o kapeluszach LALLU CHIC.
Jeśli je zauważył i od razu zwróciły jego uwagę,
jeśli opisał je jako niesamowite i pięknie zaprojektowane-
to już wiele znaczy.

I do not know how other milliners feel about their hats but
I immediately can 'draw the portrait of the hat wearer'-
if I may coloquially say so.
I knew that DOLCE MELA would suit my friend Magda best
and PURE MADNESS will love my best friend Kate.
And I was not mistaken.
I saw how much Magda loved my butterflies topper.
She just nodded when I told her that Kate is going to wear it.
The saddness in her eyes melted my heart so I said-
Go and try it on!!
You would have to see her smile when she saw that is was not IT!
It did not suit her! It was not a hat for her!
It is very weird. Both of my firends are brunettes with long hair. Both happy, smiling and beautiful!
Both the same height. But they looked best only in the hats
that were meant to glow on their heads:-)

Nie wiem jak inne modystki 'czują' swoje kapelusze ale ja mogę-
że się tak kolokwialnie wyrażę-
'narysować portret nosicielki kapelusza' natychmiast.
wiedziałam, że cylinderek DOLCE MELA będzie pasował idealnie do Magdy, a PURE MADNESS pokocha moja przyjaciółkę Kate.
I się nie myliłam.
Widziałam, jak motylki na cylinderku podobały się Magdzie. Skinęła tylko delkatnie głową, gdy usłyszała,
że Kasia porywa PURE MADNESS.
Smutek w jej oczach rozpuścił jednak me serce i stwierdziłam:
Idź i mierz!
Musielibyście zobaczyć jej uśmiech, gdy stwierdziła,
że to jednak nie TO!
Nie pasował jej! To nie był kapelusz dla niej!
Dziwne to bardzo, bo obydwie moje przyjaciółki są brunetkami,
z długimi włosami. Obydwie szczęśliwe, uśmiechnięte i piękne! Obie tego samego wzrostu!
Ale najlepiej wyglądały w kapeluszach,
które miały błyszczeć na ich głowach.
And me? Having created so many hat so far,
I love myself in a boater best.
This shape of the hat is really gorgeous.
It was loved by Coco Chanel and it is loved by me.
Simple, elegant, sophisticated.
Looks great in silks and laces but it is also stunning in sporty version- straw, jeans, boucle.
I just love it!
So I had to wear it for DERBY! My RENDEZ-VOUS boater,
made of silk satin in my beloved fuchsia colour was inspired very much by the GUCCI 2014 collection of pastel dresses and skirts embroidered with black lace.
I remember my aunt showing me her photos when she was
visiting Rome in 60's! She had the same dress!
Looked so perfect on Piazza Navona among the pigeons.
A ja? Stworzywszy do tej pory tyle kapeluszy, siebie lubię najbardziej w boaterze.
Ten kształ kapelusza jest po prostu niezwykły.
Był uwielbiany przez Coco Chanel i jest kochany przez mnie.
Prosty, elegancki, wyrafinowany.
Wygląda pięknie wykonany z jedwabiu i koronki ale równie
piękny jest słomkowy, dżinsowy czy boucle.
Uwielbiam go i tyle!
Tak więc musiałam go ubrać na DERBY!
Mój RENDEZ- VOUS boater, wykonany z satyny jedwabnej
w zjawiskowym odcieniu fusji inspirowany był kolekcją pastelowych spódnic i sukienek GUCCI 2014 również
ozdobionych czarnymi koronkami.
Pamiętam moja ciocię, która- gdy byłam jeszcze małą
dziewczynką- pokazała mi zdjęcia ze swej podróży do Włoch
w latach 60-tych. Miała taką samą sukienkę!
Wygładała zjawiskowo na Piazza Navona pośród stada gołębi:-)
Least to say- when you wear a hat in which you feel stunning-
the hat gives all the love back.
It pleases your face, it gives you THE LOOK and no matter
the bag, no matter the shoes!
Even the jewelery is not important!
The whole attention is drawn to the hat.
That is the most powerful and sexy accessory a woman can have.
Such a pity not all the women can understand it.
Time will have to bring the winds of change in that matter too! Coco Chanel's 'invention' can not be forgotten. NEVER!

Upiększa Twą twarz, daje Ci TEN LOOK i nie ma znaczenia
ani torebka, ani buty!
Nawet biżuteria nie jest ważna!
Cała uwaga spoczywa na kapeluszu właśnie.
To jest najbardziej seksowny i najbardziej przykuwający dodatek jaki kobieta może posiadać.
Jaka szkoda, że tak niewiele kobiet to rozumie.
Czas przywieje zmiany w tej kwestii niewątpliwie.
"Wynalazek" Coco Chanel nie może zostać zapomniany! Nigdy!
